Brand Identity

PROBLEM Despite the rapid growth of coffee culture in China over the past 40 years, there is currently no established Chinese canned coffee brand in the U.S. market. Existing Asian canned coffee brands offer only a limited selection of traditional flavors and lack distinctive brand identities, resulting in little differentiation on the shelf. This presents an opportunity to develop a contemporary brand that reimagines Chinese coffee through innovative flavors, thoughtful design, and culturally rooted storytelling.
SOLUTI0NInspired by how coffee has evolved from traditional craft to contemporary experimentation, the identity is built around a flexible grid, minimal flavor-driven color palettes, and an adaptable typeface that can shift across each can. Enlarged graphics make each flavor easy to recognize, while English and Chinese type establish its cultural identity. The result is a bold, adaptable system that gives Chinese canned coffee a distinct presence on the shelf.

Keeping the spirit of making, I created a shape out of the logo as it’s one of the key elements representing the brand. From there, I created custom shapes to be used as flexible graphical elements and as guides for text placement
